Do you love food? Do you love augmented reality?
If you answered, “YES!” to both and you’re a programmer, join us for a weekend of hacking just south of Times Square in Manhattan. We’ll provide food, workshops, and access to augmented reality you can touch! Come make cool things to augment the world!
The award-winning technology of Lampix is a software, hardware, and cloud-based (IPFS) platform that adds augmented reality (AR) to any flat surface without the need for any additional gadgets.
On October 13th and 14th, we're inviting developers with mid-level or higher programming skills to join us for a fun and food-filled, restaurant-themed hackathon to create visually stunning experiences in AR on a one-of-a-kind platform and its respective API.
ABOUT LAMPIX:
Lampix lowers the upfront effort to develop AR applications by offering a comprehensive framework covering every aspect from computer vision and AI to interface design. Content creation is easy since it relies on well-known technologies such as HTML5. The developer kit comes with an open API and application examples (including source code). The platform addresses the hard tasks related to Computer Vision and AI, enabling developers to create - within hours - applications and content that reacts to real-world objects, movement, and hands. Our largest customers include Bloomberg, BMW, Nespresso, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
WHAT TO BRING:
Developers should bring laptops with Node and NPM installed, as well as their IDE of choice. The Lampix app development channel for the hackathon will be located at https://gitter.im/lampixjs
